Pahalgam Terror Attack: India Responds with Strong Measures Against Pakistan

On April 22, 2025, a devastating terrorist attack occurred in Baisaran Valley near Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, resulting in the deaths of 26 individuals, including 24 Indian tourists, one Nepali citizen, and one UAE national. Intelligence agencies have identified Saifullah Khalid, deputy chief of Lashkar-e-Taiba, as the mastermind behind the attack. Sketches of three suspected terrorists—Asif Fauji, Suleman Shah, and Abu Talha—have been released. Preliminary investigations suggest that five militants, including two locals and three Pakistanis, were involved in the assault.
Home Minister Amit Shah visited the attack site and met with the victims' families, assuring them that the perpetrators would be brought to justice. Security forces have launched extensive operations in the region to apprehend the attackers.
The international community, including leaders from the US, UK, and China, has condemned the attack and expressed solidarity with India.
This incident marks one of the deadliest attacks on civilians in Jammu and Kashmir in recent years, raising concerns about regional security and the resurgence of militant activities in the area.
